Graduate Student Counselling Psychology

Chris is currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. He obtained a Bachelor of Education and a graduate degree in special education and psychology. Chris managed a specialized psychology practice for diagnosing and treating learning disabilities in The Netherlands. After moving to Canada, Chris completed a Master of Arts in Education (2012), a Doctor of Education degree (2015), and a certificate in Mindfulness (University of Toronto, 2020). Chris has worked in (special) education since 1998, focusing on assisting children experiencing behavioural and physical difficulties. He is skilled in assisting children in managing anxiety symptoms. Chris is an accredited Cool Kids® Provider (Macquarie University in Australia), focusing on child-friendly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children ages eight and older. He was also trained at Yale University in using SPACE Treatment, a parenting program to help reduce anxious childhood behaviours at home.
